Massachusetts State Licensure


As of January 1, 2015, the state of Massachusetts requires all dental assistants to be licensed. Upon successful completion of our program, those wishing to go forward with a career as a clinical dental assistant must register with the state through the Mass. Public Health website.  If you have been working in a dental office, you can apply as an intern, with your doctor's authorization. After 6 months of employment, you are required to send documentation of CPR training, Infection Control CEU (3-4hours) and documentation of clinical hours to receive a full dental assisting license.
